The form is a single horizontal beam carried on two massive beam legs, joined with exposed dovetail joinery at each end. There is no ornament beyond the construction itself; the character is carried entirely by the timber.

The beams are hand-selected, planed and lightly sanded, and left unsealed. The marks of the wood's first life are preserved rather than corrected: nicks, splits, cracks, knots and nail holes appear across the surfaces, and because each beam is genuine architectural salvage, no two tables are exactly alike. Depth varies slightly from piece to piece for the same reason.

At 118 inches wide and 518 pounds, the table is monumental in scale. It works as a console behind a long sofa, as an entry or gallery piece, or as a low serving surface. Adjustable levelers are fitted to the base for stability on uneven floors. This example is new: it was manufactured in April 2026 and has been out of its box only for photographing. Based on how the feature presents within the stone and the smoothness of the finished surface, it appears to be a natural fissure within the marble — a characteristic sometimes formed during the stone’s natural geological development. As with all natural stone, variations and organic features are inherent to marble.
