THE CONFIGURATION
The Maxwell in its U-chaise configuration: an 8' armless sofa centered between left-arm and right-arm Luxe chaises, each 38" wide by 70" deep. The footprint is wide and symmetrical, with the two chaises framing the seating in a balanced U. Luxe depth throughout, with down-feather cushion fill.
Upholstered in Italian Berkshire leather in Chestnut. Berkshire is hand-tanned in Italy and finished with twelve layers of wax applied by hand, then polished, producing a matte surface with an aged patina and natural tonal movement across every panel.

MATERIALS & CONSTRUCTION
Italian Berkshire is a top-grain leather, hand-tanned in Italy with a matte finish and a soft hand. Twelve layers of wax are applied by hand and polished to create depth, natural highlights, and a gently worn character that develops with use. The frame is bench-made from kiln-dried engineered hardwood, precision-cut and assembled with interlocking mortise-and-tenon joinery, over an eight-way hand-tied spring system. Cushions are filled with down-feather.
Care: Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth and blot spills immediately. Do not use polishes, preservers, conditioners, or leather soaps. Surface scratches in the wax finish can be rubbed out with the warmth of a finger or a soft, dry chamois cloth.

COLOR OVERVIEW
Chestnut
Chestnut is a medium warm reddish-brown. In Berkshire's waxed finish the color is not flat: it moves between deeper brown in the creases and warmer, lighter caramel-red tones where the wax catches light, with natural variation from panel to panel.

CONDITION
Manufactured in fall 2026, with internal cushion components dated August 2026. The sectional was delivered to a customer's home and returned because it did not fit the space; it is only a couple of months old.
Light rubs and surface marks from transport and light contact are present in the leather. Berkshire has a high natural oil content, and marks of this kind redistribute with warmth and gentle rubbing, settling back into the finish; they sit in the wax and oils at the surface rather than in the hide itself.
One very small puncture is present on the back face of one of the back cushions. It is concealed in normal placement, not visible from the front or in use, and does not affect the seating surface.
One of the elastic straps on the sofa base has been reinforced. These straps, fitted with clips, anchor the seat cushions to the base. The reinforced strap is not factory-original; its clip remains attached and the strap holds securely.
As with all pre-owned furnishings, signs of use will be present upon close inspection.
