DESCRIPTION
The Original Lancaster is a traditional rolled-arm sofa with turned hardwood feet and a deep, generous profile. This is the 8' three-cushion configuration at Luxe 49" depth, upholstered in Italian Brompton leather in Cocoa with down-feather fill.
The leather has developed a rich patina through use, the broken-in character that makes a leather sofa of this quality more desirable to many buyers than a new one. It is a library and gentleman's den piece: warm, settled, and substantial.
The frame is handcrafted of kiln-dried solid hardwood with reinforced mortise-and-tenon joinery and an 8-way hand-tied spring suspension. Seat cushions are down and feathers wrapped around a foam core; back cushions are down and feathers with a foam core. For Cocoa, the turned hardwood feet carry a Brown Oak Drifted finish.

A rich, warm brown. Leather is a natural product, and texture and color vary slightly from hide to hide. On this sofa the surface has taken on a soft, even patina that reads with depth rather than gloss.
Care: Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Blot spills immediately with a soft white cloth. Surface scratches can be rubbed out with a finger or buffed with a soft chamois cloth. Do not use polishes, preservers or leather soaps. Avoid direct sunlight and direct heat exposure.

This sofa is in beautiful pre-owned condition and presents beautifully. The Italian Brompton leather carries a gorgeous patina, fully broken in, that is highly desirable and gives the piece more character than a new sofa.
The sofa has been fully refreshed. All of the down inserts have been cleaned. The leather cushion covers have been put through a steam process to redistribute the oils in the leather, and the leather has been fully detailed, cleaned, and conditioned. It is completely placement ready.
As with all pre-owned furnishings, signs of use will be present upon close inspection.
